According to Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD), certain sanitation districts are considering a change in wastewater service charge rates. This includes the City of Compton which is located in districts 1, 2, and 8.
Property owners in affected districts received a mailed notice explaining the proposed rates and next steps.
Under Prop 218, property owners file written protests opposing the proposed rates before the end of the public hearing. Click here to learn more about that process.
The following information about upcoming meetings is provided by LACSD:
A virtual meeting will be held on Thursday, March 19 at 7 p.m. Zoom ID 878 4373 3394
A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, May 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Joint Administration Office located at 1955 Workman Mill Rd. Whittier, CA 90601.
