The City of Compton offers transportation services designed to support senior residents through the Compton Dial‑a‑Ride program, which provides reliable and accessible travel throughout the community.

Dial-A-Ride Program Information
The Compton Dial-A-Ride Program is designed for senior citizens 55 years and older and persons with disabilities who reside within the City of Compton. This curb‑to‑curb service offers transportation within the Compton city limits and to designated destinations outside the city, such as:
- Kaiser :
- Bellflower
- Downey
- Harbor City
- Harbor General
- Martin Luther King
- St. Francis Hospital
Registration Information
All interested applicants may obtain an application at the Douglas F. Dollarhide Neighborhood Senior Center, located at 301 N. Tamarind Ave. in the City of Compton, or by accessing the link provided above.
Eligible applicants must bring the following items at the time of registration:
- A valid government‑issued ID, Resident Card, or U.S. Passport
- A utility bill dated within the last six months
- A cashier’s check or money order payable to the City of Compton
Individuals with disabilities must present a
- Braille Institute I.D., Medicare card, or DMV placard I.D. with photo to verify eligibility.
All disabled applicants must be at least 21 years old to qualify for the service.
Program Cost
Drivers are not permitted to collect any fares or receive any tips for providing service. The cost of Dial-A-Ride service is: $5.00 per month or $60.00 per year. This fee is subject to change.
Participants will be notified ahead of time in the event of a fee change.
